Machine Controller (MC)

How to Activate

Step 1: You must be outside the proximity zone.

Step 2: Let the Plant Operator know you want to be authorised as the MC.

Step 3: The Plant Operator will select the ‘M’ on the Base screen using the button. Then they will hold down the button until the ‘M’ flashes.

Step 4: The Plant Operator will give you the thumbs up.

Step 5: Now press the button on your MC Tag. You should hear a triple beep from the MC Tag, and a tick will be visible on the Base screen, confirming approval as MC. If you don’t hear this ask the Plant Operator to try again.

You can now enter the Proximity Zone.

When your Tag alarms, immediately communicate with the Plant Operator to stop the machine, as someone has entered the proximity zone.

Otherwise, the Plant Operator should stop the Plant when they receives alert on the Base in the Cab.

Note: If you go more than 20m away from the Plant for more than 5 minutes the MC mode will deactivate.

Control - Safe Mode On

When the Machine is safe, press the red button on the MC Tag. You will hear a triple beep with vibration when the system is disabled.

A flashing S will appear on the Base unit whilst it is in Safe Mode

Control - Safe Mode Off

Pressing the green button, you will hear a triple beep and vibration. The Base will return to the standard advice status screen when system is re-enabled.

Control - Approve Entry

Step 1: Press the Yellow button to activate Authorised Entry Mode.

Step 2: Tag wearer presses their Tag button to accept authorised entry.

Note: When an Authorised Entry Tag leaves the proximity zone for more than 60 seconds, the proximity zone will be reinstated.
